Rocky Mountain Learning Collective is located in Fernie and features many flexible learning options.

Full-Time Plan (5 days a week including Fun Fridays)

For students transitioning from traditional public or private schools, we strongly recommend the full-time plan where your child attends five days a week from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Your child will get maximum benefits from our full-time learning schedule.

Flexible Part-Time Plans

Based on your needs and schedule, we can offer anywhere from 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, to 4-day options (not including Fun Fridays). Days are flexible, but subject to space availability.

Fun Fridays (Drop- In Optional)

Every Friday throughout the year, we will do something fun outside of our academic schedule! This could include educational workshops, sport or activity days, and outdoor adventures. Please note, there may be activity fees added onto the monthly price dependent on the activity, rental gear needed, or entrance fees. Fun Fridays are run as a drop-in program for both RMLC learners and any homeschool or online learner in the community.

Tuition Fees 2024/2025

2024-25 Tuition Fees

RMLC Tuition Fee Link

Choose what is right for you!

You can pay full tuition at the beginning of the school year for a small discounted price, or do a monthly payment plan which works as follows:

Deposit: A $250 deposit must be paid upon enrollment for the upcoming year and will come off tuition total.

Fees:

Material fee: $175.00 (not included in price - due upon enrollment)

Curriculum fee: $175.00 (not included in price - due upon enrollment)

* Curriculum fee could be waived if you are using your own curriculum.

Monthly payments are calculated by dividing the annual pricing rate of your chosen plan by the number of monthly payments. Monthly payments will be due on the 1st of each month over a 10 month period from September to June. See spreadsheet link.

Optional Outdoor Fridays, if you are not enrolled in a full-time plan, this can be paid extra on a monthly basis. Just let us know which Friday's you want for the upcoming month and then pay the amount on the 1st.

  • Family discounts are given as follows:  5% sibling discount for second child enrolled, 10% for third child enrolled, 15% discount for a fourth + child enrolled.
  • If a student joins Rocky Mountain Learning Collective mid-year, the first monthly payment is prorated based on the start date.
  • Fees are due regardless of student attendance. As such, no credits or refunds are provided for sick days, vacation days, calendar holidays, calendar professional development days, half-days, or other missed days.
  • RMLC offers a one-month happiness guarantee. This 30-day trial period offers the opportunity for each family to determine if RMLC Learning is the best fit for them. Ask to learn more.

03

Choose your Curriculum

Parents have full choice over their child's curriculum, need some help deciding? Ask! Or look into online learning options. We will have a meeting to help you and your child decide what is best for them.

04

Let Them Go and Watch Them Fly!

Watch your child as they learn and grow through the best possible education tailored specifically for them!

*Please note that RMLC is a learning pod, not a private school. We support both online learners and homeschoolers by providing learning coaching and educational activities. If your child is in online learning with a B.C. public or independent school, they are students of that school and their teacher remains legally responsible for their education. If your child is a registered homeschooler, you as the parent remain legally responsible for their education. For more information about the difference between online learning and homeschooling, please review the Government of BC's page titled "Classroom Alternatives." (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/k-12/support/classroom-alternatives)

We realize how important this decision is; we are here to help.

An Adjustment For All

We know this is a big choice, we understand that this will be a big adjustment for your child, especially if they are coming from a traditional public education system. But this is a system that is taking off in the United States and other countries with a huge amount of success, and we believe in it. Know that we will have the patience with you and your student, as they get used to a completely different way of learning. We are on your side, and will walk you through every step of the way.

Remember, education is a journey - take it!
